President
Being a part of Jeremiah’s Crossing has been so rewarding. As a school Speech/Language Pathologist in the area, I learned firsthand how wonderful this ranch is through my students. I instantly wanted to be involved. As a board member for 2 terms, I have learned so much about horses and the life of the ranch! Jeremiah’s Crossing continues to be a place where disabilities disappear and people can just be themselves. I feel so honored to be placed in my role to help continue the lessons for this very special population.

Paula works at ODC in Wisconsin Rapids. That is how she became part of the Jeremiahs Crossing family. She connected one amazing organization to another with the help of a friend and fellow board member. In addition, her nephews are a part of the riding family. Paula has a passion for the population of people served at her job and at the ranch. That is what keeps her going. She loves to see people with disabilities treated equally and be able to have all the opportunities that every person deserves.
Paula brings the humor to the board and keeps us all a bit more light hearted. She loves to do crafty things and hang out with her grandson whenever she can.

Wayne Johnson
Board Member
Wayne was a Superintendent for 28 years, earned his Doctorate in Illinois, and recently retired. He has actually been with us since the very beginning! Wayne was one of our founding members. He chose to join us again because he has a desire and passion for community service and serving children. He brings to us his many years of professional experience, and so much love and belief in what we do. Speaking of children...Wayne and his wife have 8! Also too many grandchildren to count!
A fun fact about Wayne is that he was raised on a family farm and he was thrown from his first horse (pony) when he was 8 years old!

Since becoming a board member, and starting to help out at the ranch, I enjoyed working with the staff, volunteers and other board members. I am beginning to get a feel for how the organization works. I look forward to getting involved in more of the fundraising events and projects around the ranch.

We have never worked so hard, and we have never enjoyed our lives more! We are so blessed to share our days with the BEST students and volunteers! We are grateful and blessed by friends who share their lives with us, horses that softly nicker in the morning, the beauty of evening sunsets that go on forever, & the still quiet of living in the middle of nowhere. God is good!
